A Study on Air Conditioning Thermal Comfort in Building Atrium in Winter

The building atrium is a large space formed by integrating various functions. It runs through multiple floors and directly or indirectly connected with each floor. In the atrium, people can not only enjoy air quality of interior but also create an open natural environment characteristic outdoor space. this paper, winding corridor research object, using CFD simulation software to establish mathematical model. temperature field, velocity PMV-PPD under working conditions were studied numerical method, thermal comfort area at bottom floor analyzed emphatically. set up in two forms: upper part airtight airtight. Through theoretical analysis comparison results, it concluded that non-enclosed will help improve top, same time aggravate phenomenon low atrium.
